EXCLUSIVE – Rep. Tim Burchett says Speaker McCarthy promised him 2nd UFO hearing

After privately meeting with US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) says he’s been promised another UFO hearing in this 118th Congress. “He told me we’re gonna get us a hearing,” Burchett tells Ask a Pol on his way up the steps leading into the US Capitol.   This would be the second UAP hearing in the House this Congress, after UFO whistleblower David Grusch and other veterans testified before the Oversight Committee at the end of July.There are currently few details to report—including a date—in part, because House members only returned from their more than month-long August recess just yesterday. “I don't know. We gotta work on that, but we're gonna get one,” Burchett says.One thing Burchett’s been adamant about is that he’ll only participate in public UFO hearings, not one behind the closed doors of a SCIF (or Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility). “And that’s not inside the SCIF.
