Exclusive: Warner Records Music Artist Conor Matthews

from Live On Air with Steven Cuoco · host Steven Cuoco

Conor Matthews has taken the scenic route on his creative journey, fueled by a rare willingness to chart a new course when inspiration beckons. His story began in Lemont, Illinois, where an early fascination with music lured him from his family’s financial business. At age 7, Conor was picking out tunes on a keyboard. By 13, he was writing songs, fueled by his first love of country and Southern rock. Eventually he trekked to Nashville and parlayed an encounter with Keith Urban into a publishing deal at Warner Chappell Music.  Through sessions with top country hitmakers, Conor was on his way to a successful songwriting career – until a friend played him some Justin Timberlake and introduced him to the world of pop/R&B, inspiring the pursuit of a new dream. Conor shouldered a grueling regimen of vocal and dance training while forging a tightknit, LA-based songwriting and production crew that have collectively shaped his upcoming releases on Warner
