He mentioned that it likely contains a significant amount of Eddie Van Halen’s music and that he would like to work on any unfinished material. However, he cautioned fans not to get “too freaking excited” because he doesn’t believe Alex Van Halen is interested in opening the vault. “Alex just isn’t user-friendly,” Hagar stated. “I don’t know why, but he’s just not.” Despite this, Hagar noted that Eddie Van Halen’s son, Wolf, seems more open to the idea of releasing the music. “If Alex were user-friendly, I’d get with him and Wolfie to go through it,” Hagar added.
