🔥 On this episode of Exclusively Van Halen we dive into a killer upgrade of Van Halen – Live in St. Paul, MN (April 13, 1980) shot on Super 8 film! 🎥 This one’s not new to hardcore collectors, but it’s a HUGE upgrade — and you’ll even catch Edward rocking the Star Guitar live, something super rare to see on video. Footage from the 1980 era is pure gold for Van Halen fans, so don’t miss it. ⚡️ https://youtu.be/duzN2eDa0Wo?si=p8X8g_fmxCLp_KEv PLUS — my cousin Jas Obrecht just dropped an incredible two-hour interview with Steve Vai from July 1986, filmed at his Stucco Blue home studio in Sylmar, CA. 🎸 Steve breaks down the making of Eat ’Em and Smile, sharing stories on songwriting, solos, recording techniques, gear, amps, effects, and even grabs an unplugged guitar to demo his style. He also talks about working with Frank Zappa, Alcatrazz, Whitesnake, PIL, the Crossroads film, and his Flex-Able release.
