We can't read current events, find a pattern, then read that pattern into scripture. This perverts what the scripture is to really say. Rather, we are to read scripture, find the pattern, then interpret current events according to that pattern. In the first chapter of the book of Exodus, we find a pattern of the State as it fears the church. What Pharoah did to the Hebrew children was very similar to what the State does to the church today.
