In this sermon we study the Way the Truth and the Life of Exodus. The life of Moses also exemplifies this. So that Moses didn't go the way of the Egyptians, nor the way of the Hebrews, Moses left for Midian. Egypt represented the State while the Hebrews represented the people of God serving the State. This is an important step for modern Christians as well. Once we repent and leave the way of Egypt, (the world) we can't embrace the way of a church (the people of God) that serves Egypt (according to the way of the world). We have to step back from both in order for God to teach us His justice and righteousness. Then we can engage with the Word of God rather than the ways of men.
