Exodus 20:7 - The 3rd Commandment - Honor the name of the Lord.

The third commandment calls us not to misuse the Lord’s name, in other translations it tells us not to take the Lord’s name in vain. Blasphemy is verbal or written reproach of God’s name, character, work, or attributes. We are called to honor God’s name with the respect and reverence that He deserves.
