Exodus 24 Covenant with the Lord

This week's sermon was delivered by Nick Wood, who used the analogy of a wedding day and marriage to illustrate the covenant between the Israelites and God. Nick explained that the covenant established in the Old Testament revealed its limitations, as it was impossible for the Israelites to keep God's Law through their own strength. Their relationship with God depended on their ability to remain holy, yet they continually fell short. In contrast, believers are recipients of God's grace through Jesus Christ, the Bridegroom, who sacrificed His life on our behalf. Through His death and resurrection, we are atoned for and saved, something we could never achieve through our own efforts or strength.
