Pastor Dale Benson At times life can be a little funny when things are taken out of context, but the level of humor or discomfort may stem from your perspective to the event(s) taking place. Exodus 20:1-18 (NLT) Simply reading these words today brings with them a multitude of reactions. As a pastor I know that my preaching from this passage has meant that I have divided people into various groups. Are the laws a means to salvation, or a structure for those who are saved to follow? God does not want His name used for our purposes. He doesn’t want us to make images of Him, because we are the images of Him He wants the world to see. The one who rested after everything He made, gives us a day of rest. A day to spend with Him.
