Experiencing Magic

Do you feel a desire to experience magic? To feel wonder and awe? To feel that this world is absolutely enchanting? Our souls want nothing more than to be HERE, experiencing all that Mother Earth has to offer as well as being connected to one another walking hand in hand creating our future together. You can tune yourself to magic when you open up all your senses and pay attention to the sensation you feel. Listen to the sound of a neighbor raking leaves. Hear a dog barking off in the distance or children playing and laughing. Be still and linger when you hear a train go by. Immerse yourself in the murmurs and chit-chats around you. Mmm it feels so delightful to be here experiencing the sounds of life on Earth. How comforting is it when you see laundry hanging outside and billowing to the breeze? Stop for a moment and take in the wonderful color palette someone put together for a room. Don’t forget to look up where stars twinkle overhead. Can you imagine looking up and just seeing all black? That’s why it’s magical. How beautiful is this world? Take a deep inhale when fresh bread comes out of the oven. Stop and stick your nose in a ginger lily or a rose to smell their sweet scent. Cringe when you take a whiff of a stinky sock. These are ordinary smells of life happening all around you. Feel the wind caressing your hair perhaps leaving some goosebumps on your skin. Rub your fingers against a piece of fabric and feel its rough texture. Soak up the hot water as you shower. Dig your hands in mud and clay. Feel its stickiness and coolness. Put your hand over your heart or someone else’s and feel it beating. What is more magical than feeling the pulse of life? Taste the sourness and sweetness in a lemon. Let a piece of chocolate melt in your mouth. See if you can taste flavors in water. Play with adding a spice to your cooking. This is how delicious and fun life can be. Be present to your life. There is so much vibrancy and vitality teeming all around you. Remember to slow down and experience the magic of it all.
