Davis is here to unpack everything good, bad, and unhinged about teaching. “Unteaching” is a grounding ideology for the show; it’s a philosophy that weaves together ungrading, unessays, and unlecturing—and whatever other teaching traditions that need to be undone—to reimagine how we assess, design assignments for, and engage with students.Jordan and his guests plunge into conversations about three thought-provoking sources from the week that span the K-16 landscape, everything from viral TikTok lessons to horror stories from the classroom told on Reddit to academic papers that disprove the effectiveness of cold calling. Plus, catch the occasional ”Unserious” segment for teaching trivia, ridiculous rankings, and questions from you, our equally mischievous listeners.
