Expert insight: Navigating a dynamic security landscape

Cybersecurity remains an incredibly dynamic landscape, requiring constant attention in an effort to combat evolving threats. In this episode sponsored by DXC Technology, Telenor’s Bjorne Watne shares his wisdom, outlining some of the fundamentals for success in security with a particular focus on the threat landscape, new technologies and changing regulations. “It’s an interesting question, are we winning the battle?” Watne muses. “I would have to say that the battle, unfortunately, is never over. As far as I see it, it’s just a change.” Watne draws comparisons between today’s criminals and those from centuries ago, highlights how attackers will always be present, and always continue to adapt. This includes a recent shift from threat actors moving away from increasingly hard to hack systems and towards new tactics such as social manipulation in the modern day. He also touches on key topics including AI, disaster recovery, physical security, and geopolitical tensions. Tune in to find out more.
