Janet Leathem is a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who specializes in women’s mental health including perinatal and reproductive psychiatry. Her master’s degree is from Columbia University in NYC with a post-master’s certificate as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult Mental Health from the Sage Colleges in Troy, NY. She has developed an approach to promoting optimal health that incorporates spiritual, emotional, and physical health using the acronym HEALTH: Happiness, Exercise, Amygdala or Brain Equilibrium, Lifestyle Choices, Time Management, and Hormone Regulation. With over 35 years of experience as a clinician, administrator, and educator, Janet’s passion is working with women and helping them to understand the link between the female brain, hormones and mood disorders. She has a blog called Janet’s Health Café on Facebook which is also found at www.wellness4women.blogspot.com
