The Bank of Israel annual report released this week contains recommendations for measures to ensure the Israeli economy thrives -- none of which are represented in the 2026 state budget bill that the Knesset Finance Committee has approved for second and third readings in the plenum. Prof. Dan Ben David, President of the Shoresh Institution for Socioeconomic Research and an economics professor at Tel Aviv University, told KAN's Naomi Segal that it is critical for Israel to invest in areas that promote growth.
