Experts in politics: Lessons from Socrates and Aristotle - Melissa Lane

Socrates sought to test the expertise of everyone around him: the bombastic know-it-alls, the bashful youths, the confident generals, those (including the enslaved) with unsuspected mathematical competence, the workaday artisans.
