A lawsuit has been filed by New York Yeshivas, led by attorney Avi Schick, against the NYS education department. The yeshivas are asking the courts to overturn the crushing equivalency restrictions. They have 3 main arguments: 1. Religious discrimination 2. The state is overreaching its authority 3.
