Located in central Italy, Tuscany is home to some of the world's most notable wine regions including Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Carmignano and Maremma. Tuscany is known for its red wines made primarily with the Sangiovese grape. Though smaller in production, Tuscan whites include DOCG Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Vermentino and Trebbiano Toscano.
