Exploring Footwear Design Through a New Digital Lens

Joey Khamis is a footwear designer and virtual reality artist. Joey has worked for major brands like Columbia Sportswear and Rebook, where he designed classics footwear and even designed signature sneakers for Cardia B. After a couple of years working in the industry, Joey made the shift to become an independent footwear designer, with Kayne West being one of his most notable clients. Most recently, Joey has co-founded his own 3D printed footwear brand called MLLN, a play on the Greek word for ‘a promising future’ and pronounced ‘Melon’. MLLN is a fully 3D printed footwear brand, that custom makes shoe powered by Zellerfeld, who are a 3D printing FTW brand in Germany.
