The concept was fresh. The film 'Salmokji' (directed by Lee Sang-min) uses the famous haunted spot 'Salmokji' and the theme of water ghosts to create a damp and eerie atmosphere throughout. However, the taste of horror felt familiar. The repetitive jump scares, a technique where sudden appearances of objects or characters startle the audience, become tiresome as the film progresses.
