They splurged on a fancy first-night dinner at Restaurant Passaporte with Beef Wellington, duck risotto, cocktails, and a marathon view that helped shape their plans. They stayed in a central walk-up Airbnb with laundry, explored riverside parks and the pedestrian-only bridge, and attended The Burger Cup to try the bronze and gold-winning smash burgers. Highlights include colorful decorated alleyways, a standout vegetarian meal at Fangas Veg, gelato at Dopo, breakfast and brunch stops (including shakshuka), and a visit to Coimbra University with a tour of its historic buildings and famous no-photo library.
