Exploring The Power of Prayers (Part 4)!

Prayer is often considered a means to making God fix things. Good as this is, God is not as keen on fixing things as He is on fixing you. We must realise the importance of using prayer as a change agent to purge ourselves and make us fall into alignment with God's plan. When you pray objectively in this wise, you're soon open to the realisation that certain areas of your life (mindset, thought-pattern, lifestyle, etc.) needs to be pruned and beat into shape. Oh! This is so good because it only after these have been accomplished that fixing of things assume any meaningful semblance.  Another thing that prayer does is that it helps you make progress while causing you to rise like an edifice (Jude 1:20 AMPC). This points us to the fact that our progress is stunted or hindered when we can't pray. You can rise to a whole new level of thinking, acting and commanding results when you commit to consistency in prayers. Whilst not many like public spectacle, the choice to rise like an edifice or remain at your base, insignificant and unnoticed level depends on what you do with your prayer life. Isaiah tells us the product of a prayerful life: "Strength renewal; develop wings like eagles to soar; run without weariness; walk without fainting" (Isaiah 40:31). It takes strength or stamina to run or fly and maintain equilibrium.
