Externalised EU Borders, Repressive Partnerships and Migrants’ Rights with Mansah Amoah

In this episode of European Dialogue, we sit down with Mansah Amoah (University of Pretoria) to unpack one of the most urgent and controversial areas of European foreign policy: the externalisation of EU borders. We explore how the European Union partners with African states to manage migration, often through funding, training, and security cooperation, and what these “repressive partnerships” mean in practice for governance, accountability, and above all, for migrants themselves.
