from On The Hub Grass · host On The Hub Grass

ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter was a theater-in-the-round attraction that opened at Disney’s Magic Kingdom on June 20th, 1995, which replaced Mission to Mars. In this episode we take a look at the attraction’s origins as an ride inspired by the movie Alien, the changes it went through during planning and development and its closure in 2003. Once closed, the attraction was rethemed to the popular 2000's hit movie, Lilo and Stitch, with Stitch's Great Escape.
