Extra: Complaining about RDJ being cast as Doom

from That 90s Spider-Man Show

Extra cut convo from our recent episode for being too darn long a tangent. Finally... we can get Victor Von Doom, the romani man who used science and sorcery to become Marvel's greatest villain put to page, can be done right. OR we could cast Robert Downey Jr, because that is the safest ($80 million) bet. The big news from Marvel out of SDCC this year was that RDJ has been cast as ol' Doom. Well, we don't like it! We have plenty of reasons to be sceptical, so maybe skip this one if you don't want to hear two guys get pedantic about your favourite actor being cast. Maybe people who like this decision listen to this podcast; we don't know. Frankly, we don't want to know. It's a market we could do without. (This was recorded in early August, a week after the announcement in July) A podcast for no one.
