Extreme Ghostbusters (1997)
from Digital Dissection: A Nerd Podcast Hosted by DigitalDissect1
Frequently in TV and movies one of the biggest things that can get in the way of a good product becoming a hit isn't its casting, score, story, or direction; but sadly...it's marketing and distribution. Welcome to Season Two Episode 64 of Digital Dissection: A Nerd Podcast! Today, Joe and Mark are joined by radio host and occasional podcast cohost Zack Derby (The Neatcast, Effin' Cultured, and Podcasters Assemble!) to discuss the underrated, misunderstood, and often forgotten animated series Extreme Ghostbusters! This direct follow up to the 80's hit series "The Real Ghostbusters" had excellent modern animation, brilliant voice acting cast, and a slightly darker story that saw one of the original Ghostbusters train a young, new team. Download today to learn about what made this series great and how it sadly fell to obscurity.
