Ezekiel 4 & 5

from Perfectly Imperfect Together · host Perfectly Imperfect Together

In Ezekiel 4 & 5, Ezekiel is called to bring a visual demonstration of what is coming for God's people because they refuse to repent and turn to God rather than their false idols and selfish indulgences. God gives a warning that 1/3 of His people will die in a fire, famine, and disease. One third will die by the sword of the Babylonians. And 1/3 will be scattered. Out of the scattered, a few will stand faithful to God and not be shook from submissive obedience and trust in God and God alone no matter what they face on earth. The faithful remnant will be tucked into the inner garments of the robe of God and He will keep them safe. We too can choose to stand firm and not be shaken by the world or the evil around us. We can choose to submit, repent, and remain faithful to God no matter what. We can choose to be held tight and close as God keeps us safe in the inner folds of His robe for all eternity.
