Ezekiel‘s final vision. Ezekiel gives a vision of a new temple, a vision of new worship within the temple, and a vision of a restoration of the land. All of the things that were broken are now restored. The temple of Jerusalem, God‘s temple, God’s house that has been destroyed over and over again, now has been restored in this version. All the worship that was not right, the sacrifices that were carried out with wrong hearts, are now restored as proper worship. The land of Israel that was desolate due to the sin that came upon the land has now been restored back due to the presence of God. There are literal descriptions of the temple as well as symbolic descriptions of God‘s presence with his people. Ezekiel concludes on a very hopeful tone, that God will eventually reside with us in his holiness.
