Screeching Weasel My Right https://youtu.be/sFWOgS9Oay0 This song was an anthem for us growing up. I was fortunate enough to have friends that accepted me for who I was, weird social quirks and all. We rallied around each other and formed a protective shield of self confidence that caused most criticisms to fall away without any problem. It wasn't until I "grew up" and started facing the challenges of life without a core support group that self doubt and the negative effects of criticism began to chink my armor that I had developed. I realized how important associating with positive influences and people of like minds could build that personal armor even more. I've still been able to maintain enough personal strength against what others thought about my appearance or opinions that I can wear a pink bunny suit to do a FB Live video. Currently, I have a better appreciation for the uniqueness that we each possess and how that can be our strength, maybe even a super power.
