F*ck Guilt: Why guilt is unnecessary and leads to sabotaging patterns that keep women stuck.
from Reclaiming Food, Freedom & The Last 10
It's not about finding the "right" or "wrong" approach. Different things will work for different people. What matters most is figuring out what works for you— and learning how to show up for yourself consistently in a way that actually supports your life and your goals. Be proud of what works for YOU. Own it. Unapologetically. It's also not about labeling foods as "good" or "bad." This only creates more intense emotions around food, and often leads to sabotaging patterns and behaviors. No matter what you choose to eat, there's no need for guilt, shame, or being overly critical of yourself. Because not only do those feelings feel terrible— they also tend to keep you stuck in cycles like overeating or self-sabotage, which pull you further away from the results you actually want So instead of food guilt, try this: If you decide to enjoy something that isn't the most nutrient-dense— and you're choosing it on purpose—enjoy it. Own your choice. Be present with it. Let it be enough. And if you find yourself eating something that wasn't planned, or isn't necessarily aligned with your goals (which happens, by the way—you're human): Guilt still doesn't help in any way. nstead—get CURIOUS. Try asking yourself: "That's interesting that I chose to eat this… why did I make this choice?""How was I feeling right before I made this choice?""What was I needing in that moment?" And then (this is where lasting change comes in)... "What would feel more supportive next time?" Because these kinds of questions actually give you something useful— they help you understand your patterns, your needs, and your habits. THIS is what creates change. Change that is loving. Supportive. AND sustainable. Not beating yourself up. Not shame. But instead: awareness, curiosity, and learning how to support yourself through these learning moments. Tune in to learn more.
