I appreciate that the concept of Blue MAGA is starting to turn up in in conversations that don’t involve me. I’ve been seeing it listed in social media comments and that makes me proud.Why?Because it means people are speaking the language of accountability. It means people are no longer content to have the Democrats lecture us. It’s time that the “stern letter writers” sat down, shut up, and started to listen.We’re tired of being forced to support candidates who vote for Republican vote suppression like Cuellar.We’re tired of having to listen to turncoats who vote for unqualified appointments like Fetterman.We’re going to keep reminding everyone that in 2020 we gave the Democrats all the power they needed to stop the rise of fascism and they FAILED TO DO SO!They had control of the Presidency, the House, and the Senate. Don’t make it complicated. Don’t try to tell me it was “impossible.” Competent leadership could have hauled the insurrectionists to jail.We need to elect leaders who use the power we give them.The era of blaming the voters is over, particularly when the Democrats can’t be bothered to fight back against clear cases of election rigging. I mean when you are running against a convicted felon who was indicted for election fraud, you should ask for some recounts.The time of rolling over has passed. Now’s the time to stand up and fight, and if the Democrats refuse to do so, we’ll vote in some candidates who will.Natasha and I got a little riled up in this conversation, but we’re not apologizing. We’re sick of losing. It’s time to use a new strategy instead of doing the same thing over and over and expecting a new result.There’s no room in the big tent for criminals, rapists, and white supremacists. If you want to lecture me about how I have to “work with people I disagree with” then model it for me. That requires making steps in my direction, not demanding I come to meet the centrists at the spot they refuse to relinquish.It’s time for the Democrats to either fight for us or get out of the way.
