F.U.E.L. — Week 4

Closing FUEL with L—lifestyle , this message works through Colossians 3 and what it means to have been raised with Christ. It reviews hearing, believing, confessing, repenting, and baptism, and addresses the thief on the cross to explain why Christian baptism aligns with the death, burial, and resurrection. Using the worn-out wardrobe image, the teaching presses Paul's command to put to death what belongs to the earthly nature—sexual immorality, greed, rage, malice, slander, lying—and to clothe oneself instead with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forgiveness, and love. The point: these things still creep into believers, and only the Spirit who raised Jesus makes putting them to death and putting on Christ possible.
