It is a good history book in that it is seeking reality rather than grinding an ax, comparing Napoleon's writings with contemporary and later reports. All weeding things out with a contradictory comb with facts and figures. I will Check out other bios he has doneMany things struck me about the French Revolution, its players, and our current state of affairs. I noticed many things about Napoleon and Trump, for example. The Jacobins and our Far-Left Democrats. But a striking difference was the reversal and inversions of the leading players.
