FABcast #570 - Taking Action Is Spiritual Warfare

I had the honor privilege of speaking at the first-ever Marked Men for Christ I'M IN California Conference on 25 January 2020. Of all the men's organizations, I've been a part of, this is by far the most impactful. This is a man's man's organization. True masculinity means being fully known and loved by other men. This organization builds stronger men for Jesus Christ no doubt. SERMON NOTES----------------- 19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; (James 1:19 ESV) Who is the enemy? The world, the flesh, and the Devil! (Ephesians 2:1-3) Ephesians 6:12 tells reveals that believers wrestle not against flesh and blood (people, circumstances and situations), but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 2 Corinthians 10:4-6: For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, 6 being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete. Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13) Confession 101 (1 John 1:9 & James 5:16) say what you did (homo logeo) Thank God for his forgiveness Role model in the midst of community 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Closer: If we are to be MEN OF ACTION (in Spiritual Warfare) the rhythm of our life should be marked by ongoing confession, thanksgiving, and repentance in the midst of gospel-centered community.
