Gli inizi della carriera artistica: “Ho iniziato con i fumetti. Dopo aver condotto un programma per una piccola tv locale, Mtv mi chiama per un provino. È stato un disastro. Passano sei mesi e non mi chiamano, allora creo un fumetto: io che aspettavo la loro telefonata e la mia vita che nel mentre diventava un disastro. Dopo due settimane mi chiama MTV: “ti vogliamo incontrare“. L’inizio con i Soliti Idioti: “Ho conosciuto Francesco Mandelli a MTVMad e abbiamo iniziato a scrivere degli sketch comici. Primo giorno di set, iniziamo a girare: è stato l’idillio, mi sembrava di girare con lui da sempre. Ci capivamo al volo. Il successo arriva nel 2009 con la terza serie e ci volevano per farne 2 film. Incassiamo 25 milioni al botteghino“. La fine del duo comico de I soliti Idioti: “Dopo i film, da un’operazione artistica siamo diventati un prodotto commerciale. Eravamo riconosciuti come quelli volgari. Non abbiamo saputo gestire la nostra arte, l’abbiamo data in pasto a chi ci voleva far dei soldi. A un certo punto decidiamo di fare il terzo film “La solita commedia - Inferno“, nel 2015. Un flop. Va malissimo e anche tra me e Mandelli le cose non andavano bene e lì son venuti fuori tutti gli attriti tra di noi, non ci siamo piò parlati. In quella situazione ho sbagliato, ho tenuto tutto dentro, ma poi sono scoppiato.
