Face to Face With the Jersey Devil
from Dreadful, Inc. Presents: Unmarked Frequencies Hosted by Dreadful, Inc.
In October 2009, 17-year-old Matt was deer hunting deep in New Jersey's Pine Barrens when he noticed a strange figure watching him from behind a tree. For five hours, he remained trapped in his tree stand, terrified of what was lurking in the darkness. Then came an ear-piercing scream, followed by something he claims he'll never forget: a winged creature with glowing red eyes staring directly at him. Convinced he was looking at the legendary Jersey Devil, Matt drew his pistol and fired. Seventeen years later, the experience still haunts him. But that's not Matt's only disturbing encounter. He also recounts witnessing mysterious objects emerging from the Atlantic Ocean while working aboard an offshore vessel. In this episode of Unmarked Frequencies, Matt shares two extraordinary experiences that left him questioning everything he thought he knew about the world.
