Over the years, the platform has integrated itself into nearly every facet of people's lives like a virtual parasite; making it almost impossible to separate from the host.  But, it's even worse than most people know. Not only is FB collecting data from its active participants, but also from the dead ones. FB is gathering user data from pages that are being kept open by the family of deceased members. As other members visit and comment on the pages, most commonly on anniversaries and birthdays, the site gathers the data of those members without really doing anything at all. Even worse, because these members are primarily followers of the deceased user and vice versa, their data automatically channels to the deceased's page.
