The New Zealand native encourages visitors to find one’s inner artist by participating in one of many craft workshops, each one designed for kids and the "young at heart.” Her tips and encouragement bubble over as she speaks about her artistic clothing she designs and her extensive philanthropy, especially helping young artists. She’s been honored for her paintings and musings by Howard County Arts Center and The Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore. She is totally involved in her son’s Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. In 2019, The Ulman House, a hospitality house opened in Baltimore, open to all who needed a place to rest and restore after medical treatments nearby.
