Faith and Fertility: Navigating IVF Ethics

Today we continue our conversation regarding IVF, Birth control, and biology. We are going to switch the conversation a bit and look at these topics from a moral perspective. Our hosts are spiritual people and religion is very important to them. Lori shares her opinion on the IVF process and how it looks from a moral standpoint. When they do IVF they fertilize multiple eggs into embryos just in case the first few don’t stick. It is uncertain exactly what happens to all of the embryos and you run the risk of them using your embryo for medical research. We aren’t saying don’t do IVF. If it is the decision you find to be best for your family then do it!
