Faith & Justice: “The Gospel According to a Black Woman”

"What would happen if we took the word ‘gospel,’ a word that has been traditionally used in a Christian context, and opened it up to broader usage?" This is the question that Ebony Adedayo explores in her book, "The Gospel According to a Black Woman". Adedayo asks us to consider if truth can be found, not only in sacred texts but also within the sacredness of Black women’s experiences. Taking a critical look at history, culture, and the sacred, Adedayo concludes that when the truth of Black is upheld and validated, Black women get free.
