Faith and Repentance Inseparable
from Daily Sermon Station · host Daily Sermon Station
Spurgeon explains that people sin easily but have a very hard time admitting it. Many try to hide their sins, excuse them, or blame others, but God wants us to honestly confess our guilt. When someone finally sees their true condition, they realize that even their “good deeds” are imperfect and that they cannot save themselves or resist temptation on their own. This honest self‑awareness is meant to lead them to repentance and to trust completely in God’s grace. Only when a person admits their need will God begin to heal and forgive them.A sermon delivered by Charles Spurgeon on July 13, 1862.
