Faith Episode 33: Use Me (Isiah 6: 1 - 8)
from You Gotta Have Faith · host You Gotta Have Faith
On this episode of Faith, Craig, Deb and I share Isiah 6: 1-8, where angels (seraphim) come to Isiah and bring the word of the Lord to Isiah. After being absolved of his sins, the word of God asks who will do my work - without hesitation, Isiah says "Here am I - send me". It's a message that speaks to all of us. We also talk about the amazing message from Bishop Michael Curry, who led a group of christians on a march to Washington DC for the Reclaiming Jesus Movement - a movement to bring American christianity back to what God wants it to be - a christianity designed for all and not something corrupted by the Religious Right. https://www.christianpost.com/news/royal-wedding-pastor-michael-curry-leads-reclaiming-jesus-movement-against-racism-misogyny-xenophobia-224367/ We play a small clip from his emotional sermon Thursday night, but you can hear a bigger clip here: https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/24/politics/curry-white-house-vigil/index.html We certainly believe that Christianity and the word of God was not meant to discriminate against gays, lesbians, jews, women or anyone not loyal to one particular doctrine. The foundation of Jesus is not on hate, but on love. We believe in the Reclaiming Jesus movement and we hope you do too. Follow us on Twitter! @Reg_Clay @DLCarriger
