FAITH IN THE STORM!

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: “But He said to them, ‘Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?’ Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.” — Matthew 8:26 (NKJV) Message: Storms in life are inevitable—whether they come as trials, uncertainties, or overwhelming challenges. In Matthew 8:26, the disciples were caught in a violent storm, filled with fear, even though Jesus was with them in the boat. Instead of trusting in His presence, they allowed fear to take over. But when they cried out to Him, Jesus calmed the storm with His power. Like the disciples, we sometimes focus on the storm rather than on the One who has control over it. Fear can shake our faith, but Jesus calls us to trust Him even in the midst of life's tempests. He is always with us, never caught off guard by our struggles. Even when it feels like He is silent, He is still in control, ready to bring peace in His perfect timing. Faith in the storm does not mean the storm won’t come, but it means we trust that Jesus is greater than the storm. No matter how strong the winds of life may blow, we can rest in the assurance that He is our refuge and strength. Today, ask yourself: Am I allowing fear to overshadow my faith? How can I trust Jesus more in the storms of my life? Do I truly believe that He is in control even when I don’t see immediate relief? Prayer: Almighty Father, in the storms of life, help me to trust You completely. Strengthen my faith and remind me that You are always in control. When fear tries to overtake me, let me find peace in Your presence. Speak calm into my heart and into every storm I face. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
