But even a prophet like John the Baptist, who is the spirit of Elijah, doubted (just like Elijah!). Jesus did not make things easy for John just because he was struggling. But He did point John to the written Word to find his confidence. Let us remember how Jesus counseled John, so we can properly lead ourselves and others when our faith grows weak.
