Faith IRL Rewind: Baking Special

from Cross Points Podcast · host crosspointschurch.com

We’re bringing back one of our favorite Faith IRL Christmas specials. In this REWIND episode, Orah and David go “on location” for a gingerbread challenge (we tried to decorate gingerbread people to look like each other… pray for us 😂) and then we bake one of Orah's signature holiday cookies: peppermint chocolate chocolate chip cookies. If you’re in the mood for cozy laughs, holiday traditions, and a bake-with-us moment you can do at home - this one’s for you. 🎄 Join us for Christmas Eve at Cross Points Church Tue Dec 23 - 7:00pm Wed Dec 24 - 3:30pm + 5:00pm + 11:00pm 6824 Lackman Rd, Shawnee, KS 66217 Next step: Watch the episode, bake along, and tell us in the comments - are you Team “flat cookie” or Team “fluffy cookie”? RECIPE: Cocoa Peppermint Chocolate Chip Cookies Instructions Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, mix together: 1 stick of butter (cut into chunks) ½ cup white sugar ½ cup brown sugar Stir until the mixture is creamy and smooth. In a separate bowl, whisk together: 1½ cups all-purpose flour ¼ cup cocoa powder ½ tsp baking powder ½ tsp baking soda ½ tsp salt Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
