If you have a Bible with you this morning, will you turn to the book of Matthew, chapter 15? The book of Matthew, chapter number 15. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. Amen?

Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Glory to God, I've come today, church with a word. I've come today with a word from God.

I've come with a powerful truth. But the question is, do you want the word today? Will you receive the truth today? Church, listen, we can make excuses or we can make progress, but we can't do both.

We can make excuses or we can make progress, but we can't do both. We're here today in the presence of God asking Him to change our hearts. Let me ask you, are you living in apathy or are you living in expectation? This has been burning in my heart for weeks and weeks and weeks.

Are we living in apathy where we're dull and we're stale and we're lethargic and we're just whatever? You know, some people just live with a whatever attitude, right? We should not, as the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, be living with a whatever attitude. We should be living with an expectancy.

If God said it, will God not perform it? Amen? And so we should be living every single day with an anticipation and an expectation of the power and the presence of God. And I understand, yes, you may be going through some difficult things.

Yes, you may be in a hard place. Yes, you may not know what the next move is, but I'm here today to tell you that God is always moving. God is always working. God is not lethargic.

God is not living in apathy. God is good. Amen, church? Matthew chapter 15, beginning in verse number 21.

We're gonna talk about a woman, a woman from, she's a Canaanite woman actually. And so we're gonna be in verse number 21. I'm gonna share this incredible story, this powerful interaction between Jesus and this Canaanite woman. Verse 21 says it like this, and Jesus went away from there and he withdrew to a district called Tyree and Sitten.

Verse 22, and behold, a Canaanite woman from the region came out and was crying to Jesus. She was calling out to him, weeping and sobbing to him, have mercy on me. Have mercy on me, which was her cry to the Lord. And listen how she acknowledged him.

Have mercy on me, oh Lord. She acknowledged him as being Lord. Son of David. My daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.

King James would say she was vexed, severely vexed, which means she was oppressed by a demon spirit. Verse 20, she had a problem on her hands. She had a severe problem on her hands. My wife and I were at a mall a couple of weekends ago and I saw a young man asking his mom for something and she said no.

And he threw himself on the floor, in the mall and began to pound with his fist on the floor of the mall. The hair began to stand on the back of my neck. Because I grew up in the generation. Momma would have snatched me off that floor so quick.

My fist would have never had the opportunity to hit the ground. She would have took my arm and beat me with my own fist. I mean, know what I'm talking about. And I am not promoting being your kid.

So kids are safe. I'm not promoting that. Parents were not promoting that. But my mother would have snuck me.

We didn't do things like that. That kid threw himself on the floor and began to pound on the floor and kick his feet. And that young woman, she had a problem on her hands. And I said to my wife, well, she don't get that under control quick.

He's going to grow up. And can you imagine when he's 18 years old, throwing himself on the floor in the mall, there's some things that need to be nipped in the bud. There's some things you've got to learn through discipline. But this isn't her problem.

Her daughter was severely oppressed by a demonic spirit. In other words, there was nothing she could do about correction wasn't happening in this situation. She could correct her all she wanted. The daughter was being oppressed by a demonic spirit, which meant there were moments and times that she was literally out of control.

Where do we see a lot of people in our world and society that are just living out of control? And the woman was at her wits end. Have you ever been, well, you don't want to admit it at church, but have you ever been at your wits end? Anybody know what that means to be at your wits end?

You say things like, I can't do this anymore. I can't take this, something better. And because this is bad. This is a bad situation.

And this is what she finds herself in. And out of desperation, she cries out to the Lord. In the church, we need to know where to go when we have need. We can go to the Lord.

We don't have to deal with things in and of ourselves. We have a father, amen? A good, good father. And we can go to him and we can call out to him.

And her daughter was in a mess which created a mess in her life, verse 23. But he did not answer her word. This is different than a lot of encounters where someone comes to Jesus. She came to him, she cried out to him.

She called him Lord, she acknowledged him. And he did not respond to her. Let me ask you the question today. How many are here today thinking to yourself?

When are you going to respond to me? Well, you wouldn't dare raise your hand in church to that one, would you? But the truth of the matter is, some of you are in that place because you're going through something or you're facing something or it's hard or it's difficult. She was in a really bad place.

She was in a, there was nothing that was going to change that. But God, there was no one that was going to make that situation any different but the Son of God. And she came to him and he did not answer her a word. Can you imagine?

Wait, is he not being sympathetic to her cause? You know, so funny to me, theologians have all of these different reasons as to why he, you know, I heard one theologian one time many years ago say, well, you know, Jesus wasn't yet sure he was going to open the door for Gentiles. And I thought I'll shut up. He came to seek and save the lost.

He knew the Gentiles were getting in before he came. Amen? Come here, glad for that. Amen?

Amen? There's all kinds of reasons why people say that he didn't acknowledge her. I believe the reason he didn't acknowledge her is very plain and simple in the scripture. And I'm going to talk to you about that this morning.

The disciples say disciples. Why to ask you to say that? How many of your disciples of Jesus today? Are you a disciples of Jesus?

That's a learner. That's a follower. That's someone who does what Jesus did. Jesus said, if you're my disciple, then you will do what I've told you to do, right?

So the disciples, the disciples came and they begin to plead with him now. The scripture says they begged him. She comes pleading with him, crying, have mercy on me. His disciples don't want to deal with her.

She's making a fuss. Everybody's looking. Everybody's watching. Everybody's seeing what's going on.

And the disciples are pleading with him saying, get rid of her. Send her away. Now what you think about that for a moment? Here she comes in desperation, seeking the only one that's able to help her.

He seemingly ignores her plea. And then his disciples publicly say, get rid of her. If she wasn't feeling low already, if she wasn't feeling discouraged already, how in the world must that have made her feel? Send her away.

Because she's crying out after us. Was the disciples response? Verse 24, he answered, I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. I'm sure not that's them.

I'm sure that's not the response she was seeking. I'm sure that's not the answer she was looking for. But it didn't deter her. It didn't stop her.

She didn't turn. And she didn't leave. And she didn't walk away. But she came even closer.

And she knelt down before him. She now changes her posture. She came standing. She came acknowledging him as Lord and the son of David.

The disciples tell him, shun her away. Push her away. She's making a scene. We don't need this.

Jesus responds, I have been sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. She comes and does something next. She kneels down before him. And she says, Lord, help me.

And he responds. He answers her. And this is what he says. It is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.

Have you ever been in an uncomfortable conversation? Have you ever been in an awkward moment? What happened? Y'all just staring at me like you don't know what?

Some of you are like, yeah, right up now. Come on. Every one of us in this room have been in an awkward moment. Caught not knowing.

I came. I'm calling him Lord. In other words, can I help you with this? She was doing everything that she knew to do.

Am I just preaching to myself or any you can? Have you ever done everything that you knew to do? Have you ever exhausted everything you knew to do? You went to the right place?

You sang the song? You raised your hand? You threw something in the offering plane? You didn't tell anybody off in the parking lot?

You were even nice at the restaurant? You didn't yell at anybody at the stop sign up here the four way? You were doing everything you knew to do. And you even raised your hand and you even whispered the name Jesus maybe once or twice.

You did everything you knew to do. But still, the problem, the situation, the circumstance, come on now. I've been through some problems. I've been through some situations.

I've had some circumstance in my life. I'm talking to you out of experience. And I've learned to walk in expectation in the middle of those things now because he always comes through. So he responds back to her in the middle of her mess.

How many of you agree with me? She's in the middle of a mess. Lord help me and he answers, is it? Is it not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs?

Verse 27. I like her. She's persistent. There ain't no apathy in her.

She came for something and she wasn't leaving till she got it. OK, I'm going to talk to you people over here. I like this woman. She came with some anticipation, some expectation.

She came for something and she wasn't leaving till she got it. See, that's how you guys are supposed to respond. I mean, everything happened in this story to this point would indicate, why did she just leave? Why did she just take?

Have you ever thought yourself someone does not understand social cues? By the response, I don't have to go any further. You have. She's getting what appears to be rejected at every level, but he's really not rejecting her.

He's building something in her. And he's building something in them. See, he doesn't always answer when we wanted to answer, how we want him to answer, the way we want him to answer because he's doing something greater than we're even anticipating. Come on, church.

That man begging for homes that we talked about the last two Sundays, he came expecting some money, and he got a miracle. His miracle in his mind was alms. But Peter and John said silver and gold, have we none? But such as I have, I give unto you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk.

And the Bible says he went walking and leaping and praising God, glory to God. What he was expecting was nothing in comparison to what he was about to receive. What are you living in? Apathy or expectation?

Because apathy will give you the whatever mentality. And some of you know that whatever mentality goes for everything, I don't care if this works, I don't care if that works, I don't care what happens on it. It's that I don't care attitude, lethargic, not getting involved in anything, not doing anything, not going anywhere. Why?

Because you're so down, so disheartened, so weary. The scripture says do not become weary in well doing. She came with an expectation that I like her. We know her as the Shuman Knight woman, right?

The Canaanite, it's in testing you. She's the Canaanite woman. The Shumanite we talked about her a little while ago. The Canaanite woman, unnamed.

We just know where she's from. Probably didn't even socially deserve to be in the same circle or arena where he was. She kneels down. Yes, Lord, it's her response.

She said, you're right. She said, even the dogs. Come on, eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table. She said, I hear you, but I ain't leaving.

Because if I got to stand where you're standing, I'm going to stand where you're standing. If I can get ahold of your garment, I'm going to get ahold of your garment. If there's anything coming off of you, I'm getting close enough to get what's coming off of you. See, I got a 105 pound German shepherd.

And when I'm eating, he'll come over and he'll sit right beside my chair. And he'll put his head on my knee. And he'll look at me. Because he's looking for something to fall off the plate.

He don't want the whole thing. He's content with whatever drops. Right? He just begging for the whole thing.

He just wants a little something. He's getting close enough to get a little sniff. See, she wasn't content just to get in the crowd. The crowd was not the place of contentment for her.

Some of us need to be more like the Canaanite woman. Because she pressed through the crowd. She acknowledged him for who he was. And when the situation went from bad to even worse and became more difficult, she didn't give up.

She kept pressing in. She kept pushing in. She was not about to quit. She was not about to give up.

Have you ever had that kind of tenacity that you're not going to give up? You're not going to give in? You're not going to quit? You're going to persevere?

You're going to pursue? We've lost perseverance and pursuing. We pursue a little. But if we get resistance, then we give up very quickly.

She wasn't about to give up because she knew there was no other answer to her problem but him. And until you get to the place when you know there's no other answer to the problem but Jesus. She said, yes, Lord, even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table. Now I want you to see the tone of the story begins to refocus.

Verse 28. And then Jesus answers her. There's weeping. There's crying.

There's an oppressed child of a demonic spirit. There's a crowd of people. There's even some embarrassment based on the conversation. He didn't mean it to be that way but he was teaching something.

The disciples were shunning her away when he doesn't seem like he's answering and the crowd seems like they're pushing you away. Am I talking to anybody? She didn't give up. She didn't give in.

And then verse 28. Say verse 28. Thank God for verse 28. Come on, can somebody clap your hands for verse 28?

Can somebody say thank you Jesus for verse 28? How many glad it didn't end in verse 27? Sometimes you just got to read the next verse. Then Jesus answered her and he said, oh woman.

Oh woman. Now it's not a derogatory term back then that he's a reserved woman. It was a term of endearment. My grandfather on my dad's side always called my grandmother.

He always referred to her as woman. He'd say woman can you go get me something to drink? Woman can you go get me something to eat? She never was offended by that.

I don't know where he ever got that from but he always referred to her as woman. Jesus, some of you don't do that today. You're liable to go. Right?

You come home and say woman she's liable to say. And we're not promoting that. Then Jesus answered her the woman, the Canaanite woman, who had a daughter who was a woman. He was vexed with a demonic spirit, oppressed of a demonic spirit.

And he says to her, she showed up. She called out to him. She knelt before him and she talks to him. And he says, oh woman great is your faith.

You know there's perseverance to our faith. There's perseverance. Well woman, great is your faith. What do you think those disciples who are wanting to shun her at that moment were thinking?

Have you ever been in the conversation where you got made out of the look like the dumb one? Come on I know you have. Your laugh gives you away. They're standing like, oh great we're just wanting to get rid of her.

All the crowd heard it. Everybody's seeing it. She knows it. Now he's telling her she has great faith.

Peter's probably thinking, I should have said that. How many times in your life have you ever thought of yourself? I should have said that. How many ever thought I shouldn't have said that.

It's equally as powerful one way or the other. Oh woman, great is your, great is your, great is your faith. And then listen to me sister. Let it be done for you.

Let somebody went, God bless you whoever you were. They were like, oh that was one of those moments where you got it. Was that not the right place? No it was the right place.

It was the right place. Oh woman, let it be done for you as you desire. You know what he said to her? You want it?

You got it. Somebody said to me two weeks ago you want it? You got it. And I'm not even telling you what it is because somebody's going to end it.

Somebody said to me you want it. You want it. You got it. How many of you need or you want it?

You got it moment in your life. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills. He is a good, good father old woman, great is your faith. Let it be done for you as you what?

Desire, as you desire, as you desire. That's a longing. It's a desire. It's deep from within.

She came with no quit. She came. I'm telling you when I coached basketball, I loved all the kids I coached but man those ones that wouldn't quit. Man, I love that kid.

It won't quit. I love that one when I'm making them run and practice and suicide and they're throwing up in the garbage can. But that kid said let's do another one. Let's run another.

He was bound to determine. I couldn't break him. He was going to run. He was going to get in shape because the goal was that the fourth quarter we didn't get tired when they were tired because if we were in shape we would whoop him.

If we even stayed close to the fourth quarter we'd whoop him in that fourth quarter because we would be in shape when they're doing this. When they're doing this on the far line, no, we're standing there getting ready to box him out. We're in shape. We're conditioned.

We're ready for the fight. Missy, we've been built for this. We've been built for this. You said to me a few weeks ago I've been built for this.

I've been built for this because you have taught me. You have shared the work I'm built for this. Get ready. I'm boxing you out.

Get ready. I'm getting mine. You ain't getting that rebound. I'm getting the rebound.

When I coached it was if that ball stopped you better get your hands on it. Somebody better get their hands on it. If it's on the floor I want all five of you on the floor after that ball. We get every loose ball.

Every loose ball. Every stop ball. Every ball comes off that rim as ours. I had a kid with six foot two two hundred and sixty pounds in seventh grade.

You know how I got through to him? I told him that basketball was like a big Mac. I said Arthur that basketball is like a big Mac. Every time you see that big Mac art I want you to get that basketball.

He's going to save his life but he can rebound. I'd say don't do anything but rebound. Don't shoot the ball. Don't care how close you are to the hoop.

Don't shoot the ball. You're rebounding. Get it to somebody who can shoot. You get the big Mac art.

Sometimes you got to know your position. Come on now. And sometimes you have to put yourself in the right position. Oh we missed you this time.

Oh I just stayed home today because I wasn't feeling like it. Well you realize you just positioned yourself. Oh no you don't want to hear truth do you? That's true.

You got to know how to position yourself. She put herself in the right place at the right time. And he responded to her greater degree. She had no give up.

She had no quit. She was a grinder. She was a pounder. She had tenacity.

We got any folks like that? We got any folks like that today? Avery just texted me. She said assist.

That's right. You're right. Avery caught a touchdown yesterday in her flag football leg. What a football star we have here huh?

Hey for those of you who don't know one Sunday and we've been soaking up this TV screen. Somehow everyone on her phone and her phone linked to the screen. You will never live it down. I'm going to bring it up at your wedding.

And Avery's home screen went her text screen went right on the thing. Thank God she's a good godly young lady. We might all been embarrassed that Sunday morning. God bless her.

We love Avery. That's your great young lady. Turn 17 this week. Wow Avery 17.

Wow. Pray for her. Great young man in her life someday. You do want to get married someday?

Yeah. Pray for her. Pray for her. His name is Brody.

Shleicker. Pray for her. Alright. The anointing just left and I'm getting into Madeline now.

It's okay. We're not going to go anywhere. I'm not saying thank God he's not here today. But his mom's happy with that.

Wait. Jesus answered a woman great as your faith. Let it be done for you as your desire. Well thank you Lord.

Let me finish the rest of the story because you know there's the rest of the story left. And her daughter. Say and her daughter. And her daughter.

Ready? Come on. Go with me. Daughter was healed.

And her daughter was healed. And her daughter was healed. Instantly. Wow.

We believe sometimes God for a while. We believe God for a day. A couple of days a week. We may pray even for a few days or a season.

We hold on to our faith for a time. But when the answer doesn't come in the appropriate time in our mind when circumstances they don't change and struggles continue we are then tempted to what give up or give in she did not she pointed the way for us and Jesus shows us that in the scripture she refused to quit. Her faith caused her to refuse to quit. And here's what faith will say.

When the enemy says quit. When the enemy says give up. When the enemy says God's not for you. When the enemy says God won't do it for you.

When the enemy says nothing's going to work for you. Just remember this is what faith says. Faith says keep praying. Keep believing.

Keep trusting God no matter how long it takes. We see in this story that God honors persistent faith. You know what faith does? How many of you just so agitated right now?

You want that to stop. What does that do to you? It wearies you. You get tired of Luke chapter 11 verse 9.

Luke 11 verse 9. We're getting ready to wrap up here for today. Luke 11. You know what that means?

Absolutely nothing. Luke 11. I shouldn't even say that. No, but we are getting ready to wrap up.

Luke 11 verse 9. How many of you go out of the word of God is alive? The word of God is not boring. The word of God is not boring.

11 verse 9 and 10. And I say unto you ask and it shall be given you seek and you shall find who's talking. Jesus asked and I say unto you it shall be given to you seek and you shall find knock and it shall be opened unto you for everyone that asks if does what and he that seeketh and to him that knocketh to everyone that asks they what and to he that seeks what and to him that knocks what the door will be open. Come on team, we come back to the platform.

Here's what he's saying. Keep asking. That's what she did. She didn't quit.

She didn't give up. She didn't give up in. Sam built for this. You know why you're built for this?

Because you got the word of God. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep knocking.

Don't give up. Faith doesn't knock once and walk away. Faith keeps knocking until the door opens. She showed us that.

Her persistence. Her faith. She just kept. Faith keeps praying even when heaven until heaven answers.

Faith keeps praying even until heaven answers. We give up so many times. Who knows maybe even right before the answer was coming. What we'd grow weary.

Faith refuses to quit. It's one of the most powerful stories that we have in the scripture. And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region. She came out crying to him.

Have mercy. Oh Lord. Son of David. My daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.

She came believing that he was the answer. She came believing that he was the answer. What is the answer to your problem? What is the answer to your situation?

What is the solution to what you're going through the answer remains? Jesus. Jesus. Do not grow weary.

The Bible says pray without ceasing. My dad many years ago he had a stroke and he was in the hospital and he got out of the hospital and it damaged his eyesight. He went to church and had an altar call that night. He went to the church and one of the elders came and laid hands on him and they anointed him with oil and prayed over him and he went home and his eyes weren't any better.

The next week he went to church and had an altar call and my dad went to the front and the same man came over to my dad and he said, what can I pray for you tonight for? My dad said from my eyes and he said to my dad, I prayed for you last week for your eyes. My dad said, yeah, I don't want you to pray this week because I didn't get better last week. He said, I want somebody else to pray tonight.

That's true. That's true. That's true. He said, well, you prayed last week and they didn't get any better.

He said, so I came back up tonight and the guy said, listen, we already prayed. Just trust God. My dad said, well, Bible, I read says that I'm to pray without ceasing. In other words, he said, Lord, here I am again.

That guy said, oh, Chuck, I'll pray for you. My dad said, no. You go pray for somebody else. He said, I want somebody different.

You wouldn't let him pray for him. Somebody else came with your hands on my dad. He'd prayed over him. He went home that night.

He's laying in bed. He woke up. He was about two, three o'clock in the morning and he looked across the bedroom and he could see the clock. Matter of fact, he had to wear, he had to wear cheaters.

He had to wear cheaters before the stroke. After the stroke, he had perfect eyesight. After the second man prayed. I don't know who the first man was, but I wouldn't want him praying for me either.

But maybe it had nothing to do with him at all. Maybe God was saying to my dad, will you seek me? Will you seek me? Because when you seek me with all your heart, you'll find me.

Amen? Come on church, don't give up. Don't give in. No, the God you serve.

We should not have to encourage you that God is good. You know God is good. We should not have to convince you that God is for you. You should know that God is for you.

And your Bible says he will give you the desires of your heart. That's the word of God. She kept seeking. She kept knocking.

She kept talking. She kept being persistent. And he said, oh woman, your faith is great. Be it done as you have desired.

What is it that you're desiring today? Do you know there are some people that have got so used to apathy that they're content in apathy? I'm calling out today. I'm calling out of that today.

Who wants to get out of apathy? An Indexpectancy. You want to step out of apathy today and into expectancy? If that's you today, will you stand right where you're at this morning?

You want to get out of apathy and into expectancy? Anybody here today want to expectancy in their life? You're going to believe God. You're going to keep knocking.

You're going to keep seeking. You're going to keep praying. You're going to keep loving. You're going to keep serving.

You're not going to give up. You're not going to give up. We're right here beside you. We're right here beside you saying, don't give up.

Don't give in. Hold on. Press in. Press on.

Get some tenacity today in your spirit. Say, God, I want you. God, I want to serve you. God, I want to be everything that you want me to be.

Let that be your desire. Let that be your passion today. You're built for this. We played a team one time that was undefeated the whole season.

We had only lost one game that year and it was two them. We're playing them at their home court. They changed the start time of the game and they did it. They did the game at 1.30.

We weren't sure why they did that until we pulled up outside the school. When we got there, they had called an all school assembly for the basketball game. They had their whole student body in the gym. We could already hear them before we got off the bus.

They're not the bus, the van to go into the... I remember hearing one of my players saying, Wow, it sounds like a big crowd in there. And I said, don't you worry about the crowd, because the crowd isn't on the floor. There's going to be five of you on the floor and there's going to be five of them on the floor.

And I don't want you to look at the crowd, I don't want you to think about the crowd, I don't want the crowd to enter into your thought. That crowd has nothing to do with you and it has nothing to do with this game. Block it out. The only thing I want you to do is concentrate on the one you're playing against.

And I want you to be so close to them today. I want you to be so close to them. I want you to rub up again. I don't want them to be able to move without your body touching them.

I want you to so against them that they become so frustrated that they just want you to leave them alone. I said, we are going to wear them down. We are going to wear them down. Not whole game.

Not whole game. We probably had more files that game we ever had. And I said, I don't care. That's all right.

I don't care. You get one. I don't care. You get two.

I don't care. You get three. That's all right. But you're not going to get the fourth.

And then I take them out for about a minute and I put somebody else in and say, no, you pick up three. I want you to wear them up. I want his arms to be sore after the game. He goes up for a shot.

I want you to hit his arm when he goes up for a shot. We're not walking out of here with a W or with an L. We're walking out of here with a W. The game comes down to the very end.

Tie game. Tie game. They miss a shot. We get the rebound.

I call timeout. Like two, three seconds left. We come to a huddle. And the one kid up.

I'll never forget that family. Those two brothers. Boy, they had tenacity. They had moxie.

You know what? They just had that swagger bottom. They walked in the room. They were kind of like Jackson.

You got that swagger. But I like that swagger. Yeah, that swagger. I call timeout.

We get in the huddle. You know what? You know what? Four guys in that huddle.

You know what they were thinking? Don't give me the ball. Don't give me the ball. That one kid.

He looked at me and he said, give me the ball. I said, all right, let's go. They said, what's the play? I said, there is no play other than to get him the ball.

I said, you'll make the shot? He said, I'll make the shot. I said, here's what we're going to do. We ran a little screen to get him open.

There was two, three seconds left on the clock. He caught that ball about two feet beyond half court. He caught that ball. He took one step forward and he launched that thing.

Honestly, it was like a movie. How many hearts are beating right now? Come back next Sunday. I'll tell you what happened.

And so, no. He launched that shot. And everything, honestly, it was like everything stopped. And everybody was like, that ball hit nothing but the bottom of the net when it went through.

It went through that net and the buzzer sounded at the same time. I took off onto that floor. I hit him like a linebacker. I tackled him right at half court.

And the whole team jumped on top of us. It was back before cell phones. We had pagers. My pager flew the whole way across the gym floor and under the bleachers.

That kid had tenacity. He wasn't apathetic. He wasn't an apathy. He had anticipation.

He wanted the moment. You know why? Because all those practices. He knew he was built for the moment.

And you know what? I said to him after the game. I said, what would you have done if you missed? That kid looked me right in the eye.

You know what he said to me? At least I took the shot. I said, I love that kid. The next year his brother, his younger brother did the exact same thing, exact same scenario, exact same shot and made it.

It was unbelievable. It was unbelievable. But they just believed that they could. You're going to make it church.

You know why? Because God's gotcha. God's gotcha. And God will see you through.

We hear harvest. We believe in you. We believe your pain. We believe your pain.

No, I'm just kidding. We believe that God created you. We believe that God has a plan for you. We believe that God has a purpose for you.

And we're cheering you on. We're cheering you on. And if we got to grab you and pull you up, we'll do it. We've got to stand there and help you.

We'll do it. But you're going to be alright. Look at somebody this morning. Say it's going to be alright.

It's going to be alright. Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you for this word today. We thank you for the tenacity of this Canaanite woman. Lord, we thank you for the drive that she had.

We thank you for her faith that caused her to believe that no matter what, Lord, that you could do what she had need of. God, I pray today that we will leave here with that type of faith this morning to believe that with God all things are possible. Everything else that failed her, everyone else that rejected her, but because of her faith father, you, you perform the miracle. God, I pray today that the miracles that are needed in this room will come to pass.
