"Faith Under Fire"

November 02, 2024 Daily Devotion: "Faith Under Fire" Acts 4:13 New International Version 13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. Peter was the first disciple to make the confession of Jesus Christ as the Messiah, the Son of God. This initial confession of faith made by Peter, and eventually by the other disciples, would be the foundation of the church. The disciples were not biblical scholars or religious leaders, but their faith and authority from Jesus established them as leaders of the early church. How might you be doubting or questioning your call to serve in God’s kingdom? Our holy God calls ordinary people to be part of His extraordinary work. God is infinitely greater than any task He assigns, and He remains eternally faithful to those who trust and obey Him.
