Faithful With Little (Occupy Until He Returns)

Hiding what God put in your hand might feel safe. Jesus calls it something else. Last week we saw the vineyard owner calling everyone who would come, early or late, with equal pay. Today the Lord took us a step further. The Father is the gardener. Jesus is the vine. We are the branches. The Holy Spirit is the sap. God does the pruning. He cuts away dead things, and sometimes good things, to make room for better fruit. No man can do that for another. Then we opened Luke 19. A nobleman went away, left each servant the same small mina, and said occupy till I come. One put it to work. One wrapped it in a handkerchief, blamed the master, and lost it. The test was never how much you were given. The test was what you did with it. Faithfulness with little is how the kingdom works. Seed, time, and harvest is still a spiritual law. The abuses of prosperity teaching do not cancel the law. They only show why wisdom and good stewardship must come with the increase. Grace is the root. Faithfulness is the fruit. Get that backwards and you will either bury the mina in fear or try to earn a relationship you already have. Righteousness is a gift through faith in Jesus, not a wage. Holiness is who you already are in Him. It is not the way you get accepted. We closed on the shore in John 21. The first time Peter saw Jesus he fell and said depart from me. This time he saw love, jumped in, and swam. Failure did not cancel the call. The mina was still in his hand. Jesus still said feed My sheep. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
