The Psalmist gives us four tips to help us.I. We can faithfully wait when we have confidence in God. (vv1-3)II. We can faithfully wait when we long to be with God. (vv4-6)III. We can faithfully wait when we recall our past experiences with God. (vv7-12)IV. We can faithfully wait because of the goodness of God. (vv13-14)David, the author of Psalm 27, character was developed during the 15-20 years of faithfully waiting to become king. During those years, his confidence in God increased. His desire, his longing for God became more intense. He learned from his past experiences with God, when he made good decisions and when he made bad decisions. And above all, he remembered the goodness of God.David’s character was developed in such a way that God said David was a man after his own heart. Through the ups and downs of David’s life, he learned to secret to a fruitful life is faithfully waiting on God. He shares this pearl of wisdom with all who will hear. Wait on the LORD! Wait, I say on the LORD! Amen.
