The Bank of Canada today warned that the risk is increasing of a correction in the Vancouver and Toronto housing markets, citing major household debt and the huge gap between booming markets and markets like Calgary that are sagging. Bank of Canada Governor Stephen Poloz said that home buyers in Vancouver shouldn’t expect house prices to continue to soar the way they have been.
