Fall to Flood

January 15, 2023After the Fall, humanity continued to corrupt the image of God through violence, selfishness, and abusive power. Two genealogies are provided that contrast the line of Cain, known for industry and achievement, with the line of Seth, known for those who called on the name of the Lord (at least until they, too, walked in corrupt ways). To know the story of God in Scripture, we must see the depth of our rebellion as well as the gracious will of God to preserve hope for redemption. Genesis 6:1-8
